What is BlackWood
BlackWood is a bar-restaurant styled as a Scottish pub. According to the website, the interior is made of kilts, bagpipes and tartans, with antique furniture and vintage Scottish items. The menu includes dishes of Scottish cuisine, and the bar offers more than 20 types of whisky.

Whisky and beer
Whisky is the core of the Scottish pub, and the pub’s Scotch selection covers more than 20 labels. If you are new to it, ask the staff for a recommendation: one of the guests quoted on the website notes that the waiters can suggest exactly the drink you feel like. The English menu page covers a beer card, a main menu and beverages: you can browse the menu in English before you go.
Sport on screen
Scotland loves football and rugby, and a Scottish pub is a natural place to watch a match. The website has a schedule of live sport with the channel or platform shown next to each match. Check the Sport page before you go: the schedule changes, and for popular matches it is better to call ahead and ask about free tables.
